The class challenges are causing headaches for many players of World of Warcraft. This will continue to be the case.
Recently, the Mage Tower has been completed on the Broken Shore in World of Warcraft, and players can attempt a class challenge to earn a new template for the artifact weapon. However, the challenges are so incredibly difficult that players are flooding the official forums to complain. After all, they also want a new, cool skin for their artifact weapon – which is not possible with their current gear or skill level.
The demand to Blizzard is clear: Nerf the class challenges!
Community Manager Aerythlea has taken this matter to heart and issued a clear statement. Accordingly, a nerf is not to be expected anytime soon.
„I understand that the new templates are currently the “hot stuff” and everyone wants to grab them, causing frustration. However, it is important to mention that the challenges are supposed to be just that: a challenge. We do not expect most players to receive the new skins with the first run of the Mage Tower.
Our goal for these challenges was that they are comparable to the “Green Fire” quest for Warlocks in Mists of Pandaria. In that case, very few Warlocks were able to defeat the boss Kanrethad immediately, but over time more and more players succeeded.
A nerf is definitely not on the horizon. However, Aerythlea does provide reassurance that the challenges will become easier with increasing gear and the opening of the Tomb of Sargeras.
However, it will still be some weeks until the opening of the new raid, as the quest chain leading up to it has at least eleven steps, with only one of them being unlocked each week.
