Chaos can break out even in the supposedly calmest places. The horde realized this during the “Season of Discovery” in WoW Classic, when a dragon went berserk.
When the options are limited, players get creative – especially in the variants of WoW Classic. During the “Season of Discovery,” there was a massive pile of skeletons of fallen players adorning the otherwise peaceful city of Thunder Bluff. Because a dragon, which no one expected, caused quite a ruckus.
What happened in Thunder Bluff? On the “Season of Discovery” server “Crusader Strike,” some players must have been quite astonished when suddenly a significant massacre broke out in the peaceful city of Thunder Bluff. NPCs and players were enveloped by creeping roots and then beaten one by one, causing the bodies to pile up.
Because the mob “Emeraldon Tree Warder” had stormed the Tauren capital and made short work of the residents and all players who just wanted to peacefully conduct their banking or auction house transactions.
Why is this impressive? The whole affair is fascinating because the mob is at level 60. It is designed for the maximum level of WoW Classic – which cannot currently be reached. At present, all characters are restricted to level 25. Most heroes are likely to die after just one attack from the dragon – tanks might survive to a second attack.
Leading the mob all the way from Ashenvale through the Barrens, then to Mulgore and finally to Thunder Bluff must have been quite a balancing act.
Is this possible in other game versions? Such variations of trolling are quite amusing, but they can also lead to problems – especially in the “Hardcore” version of WoW Classic. There have already been stories of particularly creative players who managed to kill unsuspecting bank twinks in a capital. However, this is not possible in the way depicted above. The vast majority of enemies in WoW Classic Hardcore are now leashed to their area and cannot be pulled into a capital.
Nevertheless, some visitors in Thunder Bluff must have looked quite foolish when suddenly an elite dragon dismantled the residents of the city.
Some especially stupid deaths in WoW are even honored with their own cinematic.
