The YouTuber Harldan is intensively engaged in speedruns in World of Warcraft. He already spent numerous hours in the beta finding the fastest route to level up in Dragonflight. He now presents this in a video.
How fast was he? With his completely new character, Harldan took 3 hours and 21 minutes to get from level 10 to level 60. With his strategy, you could complete the jump from a new character to entering the new areas of Dragonflight in one evening.
However, the YouTuber benefited from some buffs that are currently active, as well as from items that he had previously acquired. Players are already breaking some records on the live server due to the buffs.
Level Route, Tips, and Buffs for the Record Run
How did he set this record? First, Harldan created a Vulpera Monk. He considers the Windwalker build for the Monk to be the strongest when it comes to speedruns.
Then he collected various materials and items to ease his leveling. This includes extra bags, potions, buff food, quest items, and heirlooms. Heirlooms are special equipment items that scale with your level, so you don’t have to worry about becoming too weak for your level at some point.
Potions that increase your gained experience are also important, as well as items that allow him to run faster. He recommends using the Jump-Boosted Controlled Stone for the Radinax.

What limited buffs did he benefit from? Even on the beta server, there is the WoW Birthday Buff, which brought 18% additional experience points. Additionally, he used the Darkmoon event to gain another 10% buff.
However, both events are time-limited, so you won’t be able to use them right at the start of Dragonflight.
What was his leveling route?
- Harldan started his journey by traveling from Orgrimmar to Silvermoon. From there, he jumped to Undercity and began leveling in Silverwood. He initially leaves Chromie and a corresponding time adjustment aside.
- Until level 20, he stays in the area and then jumps back to Orgrimmar. From there, he goes back to the Darkmoon Faire to refresh the buffs. He also activates War Mode for another XP bonus. With the help of the Vulpera camp, he jumps back to Silverwood.
- After completing more quests in Silverwood, he moved to the next area, Hillsbrad Foothills.
- At level 30, he teleports back to Orgrimmar. There, he learns the next level of riding and activates Chromie Time for Warlords of Draenor. Following that, he plays through the story of the Iron Horde.
- At level 36, he teleports back to the Pandaren to do the monk quests he previously ignored.
- After the quests, he reached level 38 and teleports back to Hillsbrad Foothills to continue playing.
- At level 40, he returns again to Orgrimmar to set Chromie Time to Cataclysm.
- Until level 53, he remained in Hillsbrad Foothills. Then he jumped back into the content of Warlords of Draenor and reached level 60 there.
During the entire run, he also pays attention to finding and killing “Rare Spawns”. These provide as much experience as an entire quest.
By the way, Harldan only needed about 30 minutes from level 50 to level 60. However, adjustments were made for Dragonflight compared to the current live version of Shadowlands. Generally, the required experience up to level 60 with Dragonflight is significantly less (about 57%, via IcyVeins).
Could it have gone any faster? According to Harldan, yes. He lost some time in long loading screens and had bad luck with the elevators in Orgrimmar. The time could possibly be reduced by several minutes.
