Even more mounts entice in Battle for Azeroth. We show you fiery and dark WoW mounts from the Alpha!
Mounts will play a significant role in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. With each new patch on the Alpha server, data miners discover new models for mounts. Whether these will actually be accessible to all players or only available to NPCs is still unclear. But that’s no reason to withhold these models from you!

Hippogryphs and Bats for War Veterans
The latest update comes with two highlights. One is a new Hippogryph variant of the Night Elves, dark-colored and adorned with elven decorations, which is sure to be an eye-catcher. It is suspected that the mount will be available once Teldrassil is burned down – perhaps as a reward for the introductory scenario.
But the Horde also seems to be looking forward to a mount. The Forsaken Fel Bat is described as one of the “last creatures to escape Undercity after the siege began.” This also suggests that it is a reward for completing the intro.
PvP Mounts for the Allied Races
The “Dark Hounds” make a return with new models and nicer animations. They have also become potential mounts! Especially the burning variant is a real eye-catcher. The Dark Iron decorations suggest that this mount is a PvP mount.
The same probably applies to the new Clefthoof variant, which will likely represent the PvP mount of the Mag’har orcs.
What do you think of the new mounts? Do they look cool and fitting? Or is Blizzard overdoing it a bit?
