In World of Warcraft: Midnight many heroes are currently searching for a very rare material: Petrified Roots. This resource is not easy to find, but if you are lucky enough to find one, it can quickly fill your pockets with gold.
Where is the best place to farm Petrified Roots? Anyone looking to farm Petrified Roots has plenty of options to obtain them. However, the best places to find them are the following:
- The Depths: If you want to actively and securely obtain Petrified Roots, you should resort to the Delves. You will find them at the end in the reward chests – the harder the Depth, the higher the likelihood.
- The Loot Hunts: Not certain, but worth a try are the loot hunts. Some players have reported that they found the plant there as a reward.
- Heroic Dungeons, at the end of the activity. (Only with some luck and not officially confirmed.)
Of course, you can also rely on the auction house and buy the material with some gold, but we advise against it. The current prices are currently at exorbitant heights, and until the market settles down, you might as well search for the roots yourself.
What do you need Petrified Roots for? This rare material is primarily needed in endgame crafting to further enhance your equipment. Additionally, the item is also part of various recipes. These include areas such as Jewelcrafting, Enchanting, Inscription, and Cooking.
At the beginning, heroes need the precious resource less, but as the release of endgame content such as raids and Mythic Dungeons approaches, they become essential in further upgrading your equipment. Therefore, many heroes are already diligently collecting the material to build up a supply.
Should you sell the resource? It depends on your need for gold and whether you like to dive into the fray with your guild on Day One of the raid. If you are not interested in that and really need the gold, you can sell the root for over 10,000 gold.
Keep in mind that, as mentioned, prices will continue to fluctuate the longer players have time to gather the resource. So if you want to resell the item profitably, you should do it in the next few days before the prices drop significantly.
