In the last days, there have been some really nasty nerfs in WoW: Dragonflight. Now, most guilds should be able to tackle the toughest fights.
Even though Amirdrassil, Hope of the Dream will be remembered as one of the easier raids in World of Warcraft, the last fights can still be quite challenging. Especially the battles against Tindral and Fyrakk are a tough challenge on Mythic difficulty, which still many groups struggle with today.
However, this may change for many guilds now. With today’s weekly maintenance on April 3, 2024, the developers have deployed a series of significant nerfs to lessen the challenge of the last two bosses.
What exactly has been nerfed? There are a total of nine nerfs for the two final bosses in Amirdrassil.
- Tindral
- Fiery Growth now only hits 3 targets on Mythic difficulty (previously 4).
- Fiery Growth deals 20% less damage on Mythic difficulty.
- Starfall deals 15% less damage on Mythic difficulty.
- Pulsating Heat deals 10% less damage on Mythic difficulty.
- Fyrakk
- Shadow Cage now lasts for 12 seconds.
- Flamebound now increases damage taken from flame balls by 5% (previously 30%).
- Shadowbound now increases damage taken from shadow balls by 5% (previously 30%).
- Blaze deals 20% less damage on Mythic difficulty.
- Darnassian Ancient now has 20% fewer hit points.
What does the nerf mean? In summary, the nerfs lower the requirements for both fights a bit. Healers can at least breathe a little easier and small mistakes by individual players might – in some cases – no longer lead to the immediate death of the entire group or even the character. Tolerance for errors has thus been slightly increased. Groups that were close to the kill should now have the final boost to achieve it.
Why are the nerfs important? In World of Warcraft, the final sprint of Season 3 has now begun. Just last night, Blizzard announced the start of Season 4 which is in exactly 3 weeks. Anyone who still wants to have the exclusive achievements, like “High Achiever” or “Ahead of Their Time,” must have defeated Fyrakk on the appropriate difficulty before the start of the next season.
