You can now experience the Arathi Basin in Minecraft. A fan has meticulously recreated the battlefield from WoW.
In Minecraft, players can let their creativity run wild. However, not every creation is entirely original. Often, environments and locations from other games are recreated as accurately as possible. This is also the case with the Arathi Basin. On Reddit, the user MooshPMC has built the popular battlefield from World of Warcraft.
What is it? The Arathi Basin is one of the most popular battlegrounds in World of Warcraft, as it has one of the longest histories in the game. The fundamentally rather simple design of the battleground (despite a visual update) makes it a perfect candidate for recreation in Minecraft.
MooshPMC has uploaded several screenshots of his project. Most WoW players would recognize the map at first glance. Almost everyone knows the characteristic forge in the middle of the Arathi Basin, surrounded by water. But the other control points, such as the mine, stables, and sawmill, are also easily recognizable.
This is how players react: Generally, WoW fans are excited about the project and immediately recognized the Arathi Basin. However, most leave rather amused comments.
- “Where are all the people fighting on the streets?”
- “No one at the stables, seems very accurate.”
- “Not very fitting, the whole Horde team is not at the forge at all.”
Apparently, many players associate the Arathi with some very special memories and clichés.
What do you think of the Arathi Basin recreation in Minecraft? Would you have recognized it immediately?
