It sounds curious and yet makes sense. The hardest depths in World of Warcraft become easier because there is better loot available there.
With Patch 11.1 Lorenhalt, the depths of World of Warcraft are being revised. There are more and especially better rewards. However, this requires Blizzard to tweak the difficulty a bit as well. Those who think that the depths will become significantly harder are mistaken – the opposite is the case. The hardest depths will be considerably easier because there is now better loot to obtain there.
The following video showcases 3 absurd bugs from WoW:
WoW offers better loot in the depths
What does Blizzard have planned? In Season 2 of The War Within, there will be an even greater focus on the depths. Here, solo fans can collect even better gear in the future and will no longer depend on visiting “Mythic+”.
Until now, depths only provided good rewards up to level 8 – everything beyond that was basically unnecessary and only made sense for achievements.
However, since there will also be better loot in depths 9, 10, and 11 in the future, the difficulty here will be lowered a bit. These depths are still harder than a level 8 depth, but are no longer as draconically hard as they currently are.
What is the reason behind this? Until now, depths at levels 9, 10, and 11 had little benefit for character progression. They were simply challenges for those who wanted an extra-hard task. Therefore, depths at level 11 were also so tough that they were only interesting for characters that were fully mythically equipped.
With Season 2, however, depths above level 8 will grant additional rewards – even up to gilded emblems when completing depths at level 11.
Therefore, the difficulty was reduced to a level that corresponds to what depth fans can ideally obtain from the depths – that is, heroic gear, which has ideally been fully upgraded.
What actually happens with Brann? Brann Bronzebeard will accompany you in Season 2 of The War Within – and he even retains his current level. However, you can reach an additional 20 levels with him, so Brann will have a new max level of 80. At the same time, you can also approach the depths (effectively) as a healer for the first time and turn Brann into a tank. This way, the depths will truly be suitable for all specializations and play styles.
What definitely does not suit all play styles are some of the special achievements in World of Warcraft. Because for some of them, you have to sacrifice weeks, if not years, to obtain them: These are the 5 hardest achievements in World of Warcraft.
