The rumor mill is boiling – is World of Warcraft: Legion coming in June? Some hints at least suggest so.
Is the Legion stealing our summer vacation?
It has now become a regular procedure that rumors shoot up whenever a new expansion for World of Warcraft is supposed to be released finally. In particular, various retailers, who often carelessly list a supposed release date, fuel the rumor mill every time.
As reported by the English site mmorpg.com, various retailers in Poland, the Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates have announced the sale of the expansion for June 30. However, as this is also the last day of “spring”, it could simply be an estimate, since Blizzard had planned to release the addon in “summer”.
At the end of May, the movie “Warcraft: The Beginning” will come to Europe, and since Blizzard has already conducted a survey beforehand about what players would think of a possible “Movie Packet” containing the base game and additional playtime. This could bridge the gap until the release of Legion – at least in theory.
Currently, World of Warcraft: Legion is still in closed alpha phase, and not all areas and game content are accessible yet. A release in June seems, given Blizzard’s usual pace (“It’s done, when it’s done”), rather unrealistic.
