The popular Battle Guild in World of Warcraft is back. We will tell you how to gain access and smash the first bosses.
Patch 7.1.5 has brought only a few truly new features, but plenty of improvements. One of the new highlights is the return of the Battle Guild, which offers exciting bosses and cool rewards for solo players.
Access to the Battle Guild
To gain access to the Battle Guild, you first need to obtain a Bloodstained Invitation. Using this item grants all characters on the account access to the Battle Guild, as long as it is accessible during the “Legion” expansion – for the next addon, you will likely need a new invitation.
The Bloodstained Invitation can be obtained from three different sources:
- from the chests for the emissary quests
- from bosses in dungeons (mythic)
- from the elite Vrykul on the Shield’s Rest Isle in Stormheim
The most reliable option seems to be the last one. If you look around in the group-finding tool, you will almost always find fellow players who are also farming the Vrykul to gain access to the Battle Guild. Typically, the entire process takes less than 30 minutes, but it also depends on your personal drop luck.
Horde players then head to the Valley of Honor, while Alliance players go to the Deep Run Tram (Entrance: Stormwind) and find the entrance to the guild in the tracks of the tram.
The First Boss Fights
For those who are not familiar with the concept of the Battle Guild, here is a brief summary: Players sign up individually for fights in the Battle Guild and are then called up in turn. Depending on the rank achieved so far, the bosses you encounter differ. However, the individual calls also mean that all other players can watch how you fare against the bosses – if you have performance anxiety, you might want to choose a quiet hour for this.
To participate in a fight, you just need to sign up with the NPCs in the arena and then wait until you are called up. While the fights are completed, you slowly rise in ranks (a variation of a reputation bar). Depending on your current rank, different bosses may appear, which become more challenging as your rank increases. Gradually, your equipment will also play an increasingly large role.
The colleagues at wowhead have created a video that showcases all the “Rank 1” bosses.
Essentially, these fights are still very easy, and you should just avoid the effects that are usually announced by a long cast. However, it will become more challenging at later ranks.
