A new cinematic for WoW: Shadowlands has been released. Check out the new CGI cinematic here!
Although there is still a week to go until WoW: Shadowlands is released, Blizzard is firing on all cylinders and has released another new cinematic. This is, unlike the various Afterlife films, not just “drawn”, but elaborate CGI, as seen in the opening cinematics of individual expansions.
Is there a risk of spoilers? Only a little. The video does not show the storyline of the expansion, so you can watch it without worries. Only those who do not want to know anything about Shadowlands should avoid it. But see for yourself the video “Beyond the Veil”:
What is to be seen? The cinematic essentially shows a tour through the various realms of the Shadowlands that we will see in Shadowlands. The noble Kyrian make an appearance, just like the creepy Necrolords from Maldraxxus. The mysterious Winter Queen from Ardenweald also has a moment before the camera moves on to Revendreth, where the anima is drawn from souls. We see Count Denathrius, who decides the fate of a soul and banishes it to the Maw – into the realm of the Jailer.
Is there more to come? The cinematic is a good first hint that Blizzard may bring more CGI cinematics with the protagonists of the Shadowlands in the future.
After all, they have now luxuriously created all the major leaders of the Shadowlands, so the chances are good that they will be used in other videos. However, this is still speculation – the coming months will surely show whether this is true.
