In patch 11.0.7 of World of Warcraft, a new mount is waiting for you. We will show you how to unlock Thrayir.
On the Siren Island in World of Warcraft, most things revolve around the new ring, “Circe’s Ring”. However, there is also a lot to discover beyond that, such as a new flying mount. Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren, has quite an exclusive design and has been long desired by fans. We will tell you how to unlock the flying mount.
What kind of mount is this? Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren, is a large storm bird that has existed in the game data of World of Warcraft for almost 10 years, but only became available with patch 11.0.7. You can obtain the mount on the new Siren Island. You will need to complete several steps, which we will present to you in this guide.
Unlock Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren
To unlock the flying mount, you need to collect a total of 5 keys and bring them all to a specific location on the Siren Island. However, most keys are broken into various fragments, so the search can take quite a while. Also, note that you must be in the storm phase of the Siren Island for most fragments.
- Whirling Rune Key: Drops from “Ksvir the Forgotten.” This is a rare enemy in the Forgotten Chamber. However, the NPC is only present in the storm phase.
- Streaming Rune Key: You will need 7 Streaming Fragments for this. All mobs in the storm phase of the island have a low chance of dropping these fragments.
- Thunderous Rune Key: Collect 5 Thunderous Fragments. You obtain all fragments of this type from treasure chests on the Siren Island. It can be found in chests in both the storm and normal phases.
- Cyclonic Rune Key: Drops from Zek’ul the Shipbreaker. This rare enemy appears at coordinates 33 / 74 in the storm phase of the Siren Island. Note that this key is not a guaranteed drop, so you will need several attempts.
- Turbulent Rune Key: Is made from 3 Turbulent Fragments. You can find them at these coordinates, but only in the storm phase of the Siren Island:
- 1. Fragment: 33 / 73
- 2. Fragment: 67 / 78
- 3. Fragment: 52 / 39
Once you have collected all the keys, head back to the Forgotten Vault (where you found the ring). Make sure you are in the storm phase of the island and then go to the eastern chamber of the vault. Here, you will find Thrayir lying on the ground, surrounded by 5 rune stones. Activate each of the stones with the corresponding key – and congratulations! The flying mount is now yours!
Another, significantly more complex mount is Incognitro – but that requires a lot of work.
