WoW Classic is getting an update soon. Former developer Brian Birmingham sparks hope in a tweet that it could be the much-anticipated “Classic Plus”.
A current WoW developer, MrGM, tweeted about an upcoming update in WoW Classic labeled 1.15. So, it won’t be a minor change. Under the post, there is a reply from Brian Birmingham. The former developer was fired in February because he didn’t want to rate his employees poorly.
“I am a bit biased, but I think you will like it. An incredible team is working on it,” Birmingham tweets.
Then a user asks if it is Classic Plus. “I can neither confirm nor deny it, but I can say that I’ve always loved the idea,” is Birmingham’s response (via Twitter).

Rumor: The upcoming update could be Classic Plus
What is Classic Plus? It is an update for WoW Classic that has been rumored for a while. It is said not to change the core gameplay of Classic but to bring some features and items from the latest WoW versions into the MMORPG.
WoW Classic currently allows you to play almost exactly like in 2004 when the game was released. There are a few new features that players are wishing for: quality of life changes, bosses, zones, and items that are simply missing in WoW Classic. The graphics along with the nostalgia feeling would not change, most of Vanilla WoW would remain the same.
A few years ago, fans even started a petition urging Blizzard to develop a Classic Plus. Currently, Vanilla WoW ends with the raid of the necropolis Naxxramas, which first appeared 15 years ago. This is how WoW Classic could continue in various areas.
For those who want to play more than just the Classic version, there is also access to WOTLK Classic and the Season of Mastery with additional challenges.
How likely is the release? An update will definitely come. Whether it will be Classic Plus, we cannot say at the moment.
