The famous Twitch streamer Asmongold received a classic gank in WoW Classic: A whole raid just rolled over him. The whole thing is only made funnier by the fact that he boasted earlier about how strong he is right now.
Here’s how Asmongold bragged: At the end of one of his streams, Asmongold summarized briefly what he has achieved. He claims that his warlock has now defeated all bosses and is really strong. His rogue will be following soon.
His plan is to breed a guild with which he can achieve everything:
This is just the beginning. We are preparing Olympus [the guild] to kill these bosses, and we will do it every single week. I will continuously train the people. Once Phase 2 comes, there will be no Horde players left on the server.
Then came the beating: As he was just on his way out of Blackrock, he ran into one of those Horde players and said that “this guy” has already stopped playing WoW Classic by Phase 2.
More players appear, which Asmongold confidently comments with: “Do you see that? Three at once.” However, about 40 Horde players then appear, which leaves Asmongold horrified: “What the fuck?!”.
Sodapoppin’s raid rolls over Asmongold
What did the raid even do? The raid of Horde players belongs to the streamer Sodapoppin, with whom Asmongold often spars in WoW Classic.
Sodapoppin was probably on his way to the Molten Core. This is one of the first raids in WoW Classic and is designed for 40 players, who briefly overwhelmed Asmongold.
You can also see how they pay no attention to the streamer at all. They take him down and then move on – after all, the raid is on. Only one of the players briefly stops and looks at whom they have just boxed out.
Asmongold remains confident: Shortly after the heavy gank, Asmongold still appears self-assured.
He only comments on the beating with:
They need a whole raid to defeat me! Not even a 4-on-1 was enough. They had to drag the entire raid. Disgusting.
