The balance in World of Warcraft is changing drastically again. Especially warriors and warlocks are receiving buffs – but hunters are getting nerfs.
The release of Patch 11.0.5 in World of Warcraft was just about a week ago. It quickly became clear that the major revisions of various specializations had caused the balance to be suboptimal. Coinciding with the maintenance work on Wednesday, the developers want to correct these errors and implement some adjustments that will have significant effects.

What changes are coming to the classes? In the official WoW forum, Blizzard has already presented the planned changes. Here we provide a brief overview of the winners and losers of the balance changes and describe the most important adjustments at a glance:
- Blood Death Knights deal more damage, while the hero talents of San’layn are improved.
- Balance Druids deal more damage in single-target fights.
- Hunters (Beast Mastery and Marksmanship) are too strong in single-target fights. Here, they receive nerfs, while area damage is slightly increased elsewhere.
- Mistweaver Monks receive a significant buff, dealing 6% increased healing, but must accept a talent weakening as a trade-off.
- Holy Paladins will consume more mana when healing.
- Discipline Priests receive stronger direct healing, allowing them to heal even when no enemy targets are present.
- Shadow Priests enjoy an increase in damage against groups.
- Shamans receive their expected nerfs. Both Enhancement and Elemental are being weakened.
- Warlocks are improved in all specializations, with bonuses of up to 25% on individual spells.
- Warriors deal more damage in all specializations.
When are the changes going live? All the adjustments will occur – as usual – with the maintenance on Wednesday, which is on 30.10.2024. Once the server maintenance is complete, you should notice the adjusted values for your characters.
