The latest expansion of World of Warcraft is Dragonflight, which has generated a lot of excitement. However, the addon was released over 3 months ago. Have you lost interest already or do you still have enough to do?
How did it go for Dragonflight?
- On November 28, 2022, WoW Dragonflight was released, the 9th expansion of the MMORPG.
- Dragonflight brought many new features, including a new continent, more story, and overhauled talent and profession systems. Additionally, a new class along with its associated race was released.
- The expansion was very well received after its release, especially in contrast to Shadowlands, the ending of which many fans criticized. Dragonflight retained more players than any expansion in years.
This is what is happening in Dragonflight: In the months following the release, Dragonflight has been continuously developed, and new content has been added to the game. The first raid, the Vault of the Incarnations, and the first season with Mythic+ dungeons have been opened.
Additionally, a brand new feature, the Trading Post, has been introduced, where you can earn cosmetic rewards monthly. Blizzard is continuously adjusting the class balance.
Furthermore, Patch 10.0.7, featuring a new area and new loot, is coming soon – the patch is expected to release by the end of March or early April. The update also includes the long-awaited heritage armors for Orcs and Humans.

Survey: Are you still playing Dragonflight?
The discussions in the WoW community are still active, but not as frequently observed as at the release of the expansion, which is quite normal. When a new WoW addon is released, there is always more going on, but interest eventually wanes.
However, Dragonflight aims to have retained more players than most expansions before it and also lays several foundations for the future that the developers want to build upon. Therefore, we want to know from you: Are you still playing?
Blizzard has already revealed how Dragonflight will continue in 2023. A total of 6 content patches are planned. Patch 10.1 will be released “soon”, bringing Season 2, a new raid, and various improvements.
