Powerful buffs are coming to World of Warcraft. Paladins rejoice, but so do shadow priests and 5 other classes.
Although Season 3 of World of Warcraft Dragonflight has been running for many weeks, the balance is still not perfect. Some classes are clearly lagging behind others, and some specializations are hardly usable – at least in the high-level PvE area, where every percentage point of performance counts. Blizzard is adjusting the balance here and changing several classes. There are only buffs to bring the weaker specializations closer to the others.
The most important points at a glance:
- 7 classes are getting buffs, some in multiple or even all specializations.
- The buffs mainly affect DPS specializations.
- There are no nerfs.
- Druid healers receive massively reduced mana costs for their spells.
- Warrior and Death Knight tanks will be a bit more stable.

When does it go live? The changes will go live with the maintenance on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. After the morning server maintenance, the changes will be active, so you can directly benefit from the buffs in dungeons and raids in the new week.
Are all classes satisfied then? That remains to be seen. The buffs definitely ensure that the currently weakest classes look much better in performance. However, there are also some specializations that are eagerly awaiting a rework and thus a major change to their talents – such as the Windwalker Monk, which is threatened with extinction.
