Especially the cinematics of SWTOR make you incredibly eager to dive into the world of a Star Wars MMORPG. These story videos deserve the name “Cinematic”, they are film-worthy.

Unfortunately, the gameplay is no longer contemporary, at least it seems unsuitable for gamepad control on consoles. A port is therefore ruled out. People have been chased out of the room by the SWTOR tech team for even mentioning a console port.
An MMORPG with graphics and a combat system similar to what Star Wars Battlefront has – combined with an epic story like in Star Wars: The Old Republic – would be a recipe for success.
If the developers can also manage to make the world feel alive and freer – as the legendary Star Wars Galaxies once tried to do, then it would be a game that would make many happy. Not only fans of the space saga would be captivated by such a game – MMORPG fans could also enjoy it.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is not a bad game – but it excludes console players. There could be so much more extracted from Star Wars as an MMORPG. Give us dynamic lightsaber battles in MMORPGs!
