It was to be expected, but it comes surprisingly early: Mists of Pandaria, the last WoW expansion, is now also available in the base package. For 14.99 euros, Blizzard is now offering “World of Warcraft” on their website. This includes not only the base game but also the four previous expansions The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, and most recently, Mists of Pandaria. In recent months, the price for Mists of Pandaria has been reduced.
In the lead-up to the upcoming expansion “Warlords of Draenor”, key figures at Blizzard announced that they want to do everything possible to avoid scaring players away with too many expansions. Now the equation is quite simple: everything is included in the base package. In a month, the new expansion will come, and it will have to be purchased separately.
