Who loved amusement parks as a child? Whether it was Warner Bros. Movie World, Disneyland, or one of the many smaller parks. There are now rumors that Universal Orlando is working on an amusement park that is “heavily influenced by video games” – and which license is more promising than Warcraft, currently under Legendary’s thumb? Universal Orlando has already struck a deal with Nintendo, so it makes sense that they would also acquire a license from Blizzard, especially since World of Warcraft is getting another push from the movie.
The details of the plans are not known, but the concepts have potential: In addition to a children’s area with Nintendo heroes, such as a Mario Kart bumper car or several attractions related to Zelda and Pokemon, an older audience might find joy in the Warcraft world. I would definitely be the first person to take a photo with Jaina or Illidan.
In China, there is already a Warcraft amusement park. However, it has nothing to do with Blizzard, and it certainly did not receive the blessing of the game developers. The park was brazenly built illegally – at least by our Western standards.
