Today marks the release of World of Tanks on PlayStation 4. We tell you what time WoT starts.
At 6:00 PM our time, today on January 19th, World of Tanks will launch on PlayStation 4. The date has been known for a while, the time was mentioned in a forum thread yesterday.
The PlayStation 4 version of World of Tanks will be the fourth “console version” after the PC and ports to Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with “Blitz” being a mobile spin-off that is quite different.
How does the PS4 version of World of Tanks compare to the PC version?
The console versions are considered to be more action-oriented than the PC version, and the graphics have also undergone significant changes, so console players will feel right at home.
A recent screenshot comparison by dualshockers showed that the PS4 version and the Xbox One version look quite identical. There are differences compared to the PC: while the PC version offers advantages with tank models even in the garage, the consoles have a lot to offer in the open field with 3D objects. The landscape has more objects, and there’s more decoration. Additionally, there is a “night” mode on the consoles. The journalist from dualshockers (a site focused on consoles) prefers the PS4 and Xbox One versions over the PC.
This is probably because World of Tanks is also supposed to run on older PCs (the game is immensely popular in the former Eastern Bloc), while the console version can focus on a specific configuration.
