However, the popular YouTuber TheXclusiveAce (over 800,000 subscribers) took the effort to thoroughly review almost all the weapons in the game and collect even more data. What is TTK? TTK stands for “Time to Kill,” which is the time it takes to shoot a fully healthy opponent to the afterlife. In a fast-paced shooter like Cold War, it is very important to quickly take down the opponent in direct firefights.
A theoretically strong weapon with high damage per shot is less effective than a weapon that fires quickly and has a high bullet velocity. Therefore, sniper rifles, which theoretically have a TTK of 0, are not listed here. This discussion is about weapons where a single hit does not determine whether you secure a kill immediately or not.
Weapons with the best TTK – This is how you kill your opponents the fastest
The list of TTK champions consists entirely of burst-fire weapons. Although the MP5 is regarded as the best weapon by many players, it cannot keep up with the strong values of tactical rifles. Especially at launch, the MP5 was so strong that almost everyone used it. However, other weapons win in terms of Time-to-Kill:
- M16: At least 132 milliseconds to kill
- AUG: At least 154 milliseconds to kill
- KSP 45: At least 166 milliseconds to kill

Here’s why the weapons are so strong: The reason for the superiority in TTK for the weapons on the list is that the AUG, M16, and KSP 45 have a very powerful burst-fire mode. With just one pull of the trigger, multiple bullets are sent at the opponent, and if they all hit, you are quickly dead.
Why doesn’t everyone play this? This burst-fire playstyle does not suit everyone, and burst rifles are considered relatively unpopular. Moreover, players using a burst fire in close combat are putting everything on one card. Because while TTK is outstanding when you take down your enemy directly, if one bullet misses and the enemy is still standing, you are at a disadvantage with the burst rifle.
