PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) on a snow map would be the dream of many players. A fan is now presenting their concept of the “Nördheim” map.
Players in PUBG have at least two maps to choose from on PC: Erangel and Miramar. Erangel is more green and filled with many flat fields, while Miramar is the desert part of PUBG. On Xbox, players can currently only play the Erangel map.
The desire for more variety in map selection is noticeable among both Xbox and PC players. Why not a winter map with snowy houses and frozen lakes? Reddit user IamEzalor thought the same and is now presenting Nördheim.
Nördheim with Drömhack, snow, and caves
How would you like a PUBG map with snow? Instead of the dry deserts of Miramar and the barren fields of Erangel, Nördheim has snow. Just driving there must be an immense fun.
In recent months, there have been wishes and ideas for a winter map in PUBG. Together with a friend, Reddit user IamEzalor conceived the concept for this map. It is supposed to take place in Scandinavia. After several weekends and nights of hard work, an overview of the fan map is now complete.
The creators point out briefly what players can find on the map.
“Nördheim’s snowy landscape consists of a contrast between low-lying zones such as islands, fields, forests, and higher areas such as mountain slopes, peaks, and steep cliffs. Together, these zones create an epic battlefield that tests players’ skill, creativity, and decision-making abilities to leave this winter war zone as winners.”

The majority of the areas in Nördheim is low-lying, similar to the Erangel map. However, there are also areas that rise steeply. The design aims to place itself in between Erangel and Miramar.
Major hotspots and vehicles of the Nördheim map
In Nördheim, players encounter a land where ancient mythology and tradition coexist with modern culture, technology, and architecture.
The larger areas include:
- An airport located in the mountains
- Feskebyn, the fishing island with a small village
- A hotel in the ice
- The Knugen Naval Base, located underground
- A port with ships full of loot
- And places like “Drömhack” – An arena where famous eSports titles are played
As vehicles, you will find Hovercrafts, All-Terrain Trucks, Snowmobiles, Skis, and more. Of course, weapon skins in ice design and a matching Ghillie Suit must not be missing.
Streamer Shroud has also already noticed the map and looked at it with his viewers together on stream.
You can access the concept of the Nördheim page on the official website. There, the developers also introduce the places that inspired the map. The designers even thought of Easter eggs.
Under one of the bridges waits a troll statue, in a forest you will find the remains of a rave party, and a church is preparing for an upcoming black metal concert. There is also a Viking rune inscribed “Regionlock Scandinavia”, which alludes to the region lock wishes towards China from the community.
