The MMORPG Black Desert Online has launched a new event. This time, there is a crossover with the well-known manga and anime series Berserk, which you can also watch on Netflix. Special NPCs and even a field boss are waiting for you.
What kind of event is this? For a limited time, you can accept a quest line from the adventure NPC regarding a mysterious skeleton knight. The event series proceeds linearly. You will follow the quests as they are given to you.
At the end, the skeleton knight awaits you, a well-known character from the manga and anime series Berserk. Additionally, you will encounter Zodd during the event, also known from the series. He additionally appears in a hard version as a field boss.
However, the quest line is only available once per family, meaning once per account, while you can defeat the new boss as many times as you want.
Is the event worth it? If you are a fan of Berserk, then this event is perfect for you. The many references and characters should be instantly familiar to you.
However, if you are only after pure rewards, you might be disappointed by the event. The rewards include:
- A new alchemy stone that gives you 20 times 5 minutes of bonus effects. These are identical to the Sharp Alchemy Stone of Destruction.
- The title “Hello, Stranger”.
- Various rewards like Black Stones, Caphras Stones, or Gold Bars from the field boss.
Are there special skins? In line with the collaboration with Berserk, there are also new skins visually adapted to the characters from the series. However, you can only obtain these through the shop, and they are quite expensive at 4,000 pearls, which is roughly 40 euros.
Where does the event take place? The adventure NPC is located between Behr and the Witch Sanctuary. Here you can start your event quests.
The field boss Zodd appears directly at the Witch Sanctuary, every 3 to 6 hours. Ten minutes before Zodd appears, you will receive a system message announcing his emergence. After that, he stays for 30 minutes and disappears, regardless of whether you attack him or not.
How long does the event last? The special event for the Berserk series started on November 20 and will last until December 4, before the start of the regular maintenance.
If you have not completed all quests by then, started quests will be automatically disabled. You can find more details about the event on the official site.
