This Thursday continues with the GSA League in Rainbow Six Siege. Many surprises occurred on the first matchday – and by the second, a trend might already be emerging. And it strongly favors the newcomers.
Which newcomers are we talking about? The focus is on the two teams FACT Gaming (formerly TRSH) and DIVIZON. They qualified for the E-Sports event by participating in the qualifier matches of the GSA League.
As newcomers, they belong to the eight teams of the GSA League, while the other teams were directly invited by Ubisoft. Two of them are even internationally active professionals and well-known figures: G2 Esports and Rogue.
However, the matches played so far indicate that these professionals might have some problems with the newcomers.
FACT and DIVIZON – Tenacious Underdogs?
Why the two teams are so interesting: Both FACT Gaming and DIVIZON were virtually unknown before the start of the qualifiers. They are (still) not proper professionals, they need to prove themselves and show how strong they really are.
On the first matchday, on May 14, they both performed outstandingly. DIVIZON defeated the opponent Rogue, an international professional team, with a score of 7:5. A close result, but one that shows how strong the newcomer is.
The German team FACT Gaming, on the other hand, proved to be even more impressive. They won against the traditional club Turtle eSport with a perfect match of 7:0, although some rounds were quite close.
You can read more about it in the analysis and highlights from the first matchday of the GSA League on MeinMMO.
What are their chances? After the first matchday, both teams are in the upper half of the table. This doesn’t say much yet. However, even the victory of the current title favorite G2 Esports against Team Secret (formerly OrgLess) with 7:4 was hard-earned.

At the moment, it looks like FACT and DIVIZON have good chances – if not for victories, at least for strong rankings to make a name for themselves.
Their significant disadvantage, however, is that both have recently played a lot in the qualifier matches. This provides the other teams with plenty of material to analyze them, while the two teams can only start doing that with their opponents from now on.
This Thursday, May 21, Rogue will have to face the German team FACT Gaming. Since Rogue was already defeated by a newcomer before, FACT could really become a problem for them.
The outcome of this match could indicate which direction the aspiring professionals will develop.
Where can I watch?
