How to delete your character in Where Winds Meet? Currently, you cannot simply delete your own character in Where Winds Meet. This feature does not yet exist in the game and is expected to be added with future updates. However, there is a way to start over.

How can you start over? According to an announcement from the developers on Steam, it is currently only possible to start over by creating a new account in Where Winds Meet. The best way to do this is to use the official game launcher, which allows you to switch accounts before every login. Here’s the quickest way to do it:
- Download the launcher from the official website wherewindsmeetgame.com
- Install the game and start it
- At each launch, you will be asked if you want to log in, where you can simply choose another account that you can register for free at NetEase
- Once you are logged into your new account, you can create a new character as usual.
This method is currently recommended by the developers because the delete feature is not yet in the game, and Where Winds Meet is free to play. Other methods, such as “unbinding” accounts, are not recommended and may cause issues with crossplay.
Change appearance, name, and gender without restarting
How can you change your appearance? If you are only dissatisfied with the outcome of your character creation, you do not need to start over in Where Winds Meet. Instead, there is an option to simply edit your character. For this, there is an item specifically for changing the appearance, gender, and name of your character.
Your quest progress, the collectibles you earned, as well as your progress in the Battle Pass and your redeemed codes will be retained. So you don’t have to start completely over to make changes.
