The hardcore roguelite “Darkest Dungeon 2” will soon receive its first DLC on Steam. A trailer shows the two new classes, but one is not so new.
What is “Darkest Dungeon 2”?

- Your group travels through a dark fantasy setting in a carriage to fend off the apocalypse.

“An old friend and a new hero”
Developer “Red Hook Studios” announced the first paid DLC for “Darkest Dungeon 2”. It is titled “The Binding Blade” and is set to be released in December of this year on Steam.
The content of this DLC mainly includes 2 new characters: the Duelist (originally: “The Duelist”) and the Crusader (originally: “The Crusader”).
Who are the characters? The Duelist is a new class. To adapt to each situation, she moves to different combat positions and switches between defensive and aggressive stances.
The second class will be familiar to fans of the predecessor. In that game, the Crusader was considered one of the strongest classes. Conceptually, he resembles a classic paladin. With righteous fury, he faces his enemies in melee combat or supports his companions by strengthening and healing them.
What does the community say? Especially players who also played the first part of “Darkest Dungeon” are celebrating the duo. “An old friend returning and a new hero joining, I can hardly wait for the release,” writes a user on YouTube.
The top comment under the DLC trailer is also excited about the Crusader’s return: “The man, the myth, the legend. Reynauld is back, baby!”.
What else does the DLC bring? In addition to the two characters with playable backstories, “Darkest Dungeon 2: The Binding Blade” introduces a new miniboss – the Warlord.
