What we already know about FIFA 21: There is currently no official information about FIFA 21. It is only certain that, as usual, the new installment will be released in autumn. However, nothing is known yet about new features.
However, FIFA players already have several wishes for the next FIFA installment. We will tell you what needs to change in FIFA 21 and what new features the fans desire.
The servers need to improve
The problem is: This FIFA year has seen so many server problems as rarely in recent FIFA installments. Often, logging in was not possible, or playing became extremely difficult due to lag. Additionally, due to server issues, the Weekend League had to be extended.
Which some players didn’t mind at all.
What we want: More stable servers that allow for online play without lag or login issues. The fun of playing quickly fades when you can’t make a decent pass due to constant lag or can’t find an online opponent because matchmaking unfortunately had to be disabled.
The career mode needs a complete overhaul
The problem is: Although there were some new features for the popular career mode this year. Fans are still not completely satisfied because the career mode was, especially at the beginning, full of bugs and issues. Players also miss important features to have more influence on their own club.
Therefore, fans wish for a fundamental overhaul of the mode with new features.
What we want:
- Introduction of youth leagues: Through youth leagues in career mode, young players would have the opportunity to gain match experience and improve. This would be much more realistic than before and a lot more practical for the manager’s daily routine.
- Adjusting ticket prices
- Hiring and firing staff like coaches and fitness trainers, who influence the players’ attributes
- Better transfer behavior of the CPU: Often it is extremely difficult to sell players. The CPU clubs are simply not interested in the players on our transfer list. We want increased/realistic interest in the players we want to sell.
- Online career mode: Many FIFA players know this: losing games against the computer loses its appeal over time. Especially when the computer no longer poses a challenge even on world class. Online games would be the solution. NHL and NFL games show the way, in the so-called “Connected Career” it is possible to compete against strangers or friends.
- More customization: Stadium adjustments and kit design adjustments for each season
- Generally more things to spend in-game money on
- Sponsor work
- The option to change players’ positions through training
A new stadium in FIFA 21 is already known.
Pro Clubs needs more love
The problem is: Although Pro Clubs, like the career mode, received extensive new features in FIFA 20. Pro Clubs supporters are still not truly satisfied. They still have some wishes that have yet to be fulfilled.
What we want:
- Gameplay for CPU teammates needs to improve, the CPU often acts unpredictably and squanders chances
- Better CPU teammates, who are not so sluggish to control when you decide to play them
- More modes: Multiplayer training arena, social area
- More information about opponents
VOLTA lacks fundamental features
The problem is: For a long time, a street mode was on the wishlist of the FIFA community and with FIFA 20, this long-awaited wish was finally fulfilled with VOLTA. However, many FIFA players have only played the new mode briefly and have never touched it again. The VOLTA mode simply lacks the fundamental features that regular soccer in FIFA has long offered.
For FIFA 21, EA needs to come up with something for VOLTA and add functions.
What we want:
- A Pro Clubs mode for VOLTA, to be able to form your own club with friends
- Co-op seasons for VOLTA
- Online games against friends, so you can finally compete against buddies not just on the couch
Ultimate Team – The management cards need to be improved
The problem is: Distributing player contracts and fitness cards in your own team is super tedious. However, the system hasn’t changed for years.
What we want:
- A better fitness concept: Why can’t the 100 fitness points of a player be fully utilized? It would be great to only need to use a fitness card again when the card reaches a fitness value of 0. Currently, a fitness card is urgently needed after 3 or 4 games at the latest.
- Team player contracts: Like with team fitness cards, it would be practical to be able to equip the entire squad with contracts at once. Currently, you have to select each player individually to fill contracts.
However, we suspect that the cards will not disappear anytime soon. Because for EA, they are good filler material for packs.
Ultimate Team – We need filters for special cards
The problem is: For example, if you want to buy the second Inform card from Mbappe in FUT 20, it is not that easy. Because even if you have the necessary coins and are willing to spend them, finding the card on the transfer market is often a big problem.
Because there are no filters. You can only search for special cards. And since Kylian Mbappe has a whopping 8 special cards in FUT, the search can be quite exhausting.
What we want: Simple filters to search for specific special cards like Shapeshifters, Team of the Week, FUT Birthday or TOTY. Moreover, a filter that allows you to exclude certain categories would be nice. For example, if you are looking for a French goalkeeper, it would be great to be able to exclude Ligue 1 from the search.
