Besides medicine, the private lives of the (young) doctors in Scrubs are very important, especially their love lives. MeinMMO has taken a look at what the most popular couples are according to Google search queries. And based on that, protagonist J.D. should have actually married someone entirely different.
How did this ranking come about? While Scrubs focuses on life in the hospital, the social lives of the characters are also very important to the plot. Accordingly, there are quite a few romances, relationships, and breakups. Whether it’s Dr. Cox and his on-off (ex-)wife Jordan, Turk and Carla, or J.D.’s almost countless flirtations.
We then checked the Google search volume for each couple using the website Keyword Tool In this list, you will find the top 5 couples that were searched for the most from December 2024 to December 2025 according to the site.

Rank 10: J.D. & Jordan
The entry into the top 10 is made by protagonist John Dorian aka J.D.
and Jordan, Dr. Cox’s ex-wife. The two have sex during their first encounter in season 1, which remains a secret. At least until the end of the first season when Jordan drops the bomb on J.D.’s mentor Dr. Cox.
From season 2, the two meet on a friendly level. For example, Jordan helps J.D. break up with one of his girlfriends. The couple has generated about 380 search queries worldwide over the past 12 months.
Rank 9: J.D. & Kim
Kim is probably J.D.’s most serious relationship besides Elliot. The two are in 9th place in the ranking with 470 search queries. They only meet in season five, even though Kim has been a urologist at Sacred Heart for many years. The two have a romantic rendezvous on his undeveloped property. Kim is pregnant afterward but reportedly loses the baby. Their paths separate.
In episode 20 of the sixth season, the two meet again, and Kim is very pregnant. They then get back together but separate again after the birth of their son Sammy. However, they raise the boy together.
