A German Fortnite pro dropped out of school after the ninth grade but eventually became a millionaire. What is his current status?
Who is the 17-year-old, and what is his story? Lennard “Rezon ay” Sill is a well-known face in the German-speaking Fortnite community. He started his career at a young age as an e-sports player, but soon became a content creator and earned a fortune with his own Fortnite maps.
It wasn’t long before he was not just a pro player or Twitch streamer. He was a school dropout who successfully built multiple channels, invested money in various projects, and had a knack for creating the right map.
From School Dropout to Millionaire
At just 13 years old, Rezon tried his hand at Fortnite e-sports and transitioned from a talented hobby player to a Fortnite pro. Two years later, his career was set to take off – as Rezon dropped out of school after the 9th grade.
In November 2021, Rezon became a part of “Guild Esports” at the age of 15, but he left the team just a few months later and soon joined the “FOKUS Clan.”
By the time he was 16, Rezon had surpassed 440,000 followers on Twitch, averaged 1,500 viewers, and secured over $400,000 in prize money. In the following year, he added another $78,000 (via esportearnings).
When Rezon was 17, his career suddenly took a major turn:
Epic Games released the Unreal Editor for Fortnite on March 22, 2023.
The Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) is a system that allows users to create their own worlds, modes, or games which they can then publish within Fortnite.
Just a few months later, Rezon presented his own Fortnite map, which the then 17-year-old created in collaboration with map creator “Heavyblue”:
A 1v1 map consisting of 2 ramps, where players can train their mechanical skills.
While Rezon provided feedback as a Fortnite pro and also delivered reach, Heavyblue was responsible for the actual creation and maintenance of the map.
The map quickly became one of Rezon’s main sources of income. When he was a guest on the podcast of content creator Amar in January 2024, he estimated around 100,000 Euros for that month (via YouTube).
Today it is known that Rezon was already a millionaire at the age of 17.
Successful, but Wasteful
Today, Rezon is a successful content creator, e-sports player, and entrepreneur. As an e-sports player, he ranks among the top 50 earners in Fortnite worldwide. On Twitch, he has over 1.4 million followers and averages more than 2,500 viewers during his livestreams. He also runs various YouTube and TikTok channels that regularly achieve 20,000-130,000 views.
In his videos, however, Rezon no longer focuses solely on Fortnite; he also talks about his life, showcases vacation trips, or creates various formats with friends and other creators. He is also part of the Wave-Boys, a content creator group, and a part-owner of the company “Strayfe,” which sells gaming gear such as keyboards and mousepads.
His 1v1 map continues to be one of the most popular UEFN maps in the game in 2026 and has an average of over 3,300 active players. By the end of 2025, he was said to have received his second largest payout from Epic Games – the largest is allegedly around 550,000 Euros. The website Fortnite.gg also estimates that the map has generated total earnings between 1,040,000 and 3,730,000 Euros – and he has even published more maps since then.
Rezon is undoubtedly successful, but he also spends his money quite lavishly. In a video on YouTube, he mentions how he spent about 215,000 € on jewelry and watches or lost around 50,000 € through gambling and 100,000 € through so-called meme coins.
Regardless of financial success, 2025 was a turbulent year for Rezon. In a video from October, he talked about various topics that concerned him, including performance pressure, his private life, the fixation on financial success, and an identity crisis on YouTube.
Rezon was no longer satisfied with some of his content, and Fortnite, especially Ranked and Reload, was no longer as enjoyable for him as before.
