Warframe will receive a huge update this week that fans are eagerly awaiting. The open world “Fortuna” celebrates its release on PC.
Mega-update brings new open world: The MMO shooter Warframe receives its second open world map with Fortuna. It is located on the icy Venus, where a huge, snow-covered landscape awaits players. With this, the developers build on the success of the first open world “Plains of Eidolon“. Here, Warframe took the step to develop its once lobby shooter more towards “MMO”.
When is the exact release date? This is still unknown. Fortuna will be released on PC during this week, at the latest on November 11. The Fortuna release on PS4 and Xbox One will happen at a later date.
What is Fortuna about?
A liberation from oppression: Players fight on Venus against the machinations of the corrupt Corpus faction, which exploits the planet and its inhabitants out of greed. The faction Solaris United seeks to free itself from the greedy hands of the Corpus.
Fight together: As powerful space ninjas, players will support Solaris United. This will allow players to break into and destroy the Corpus bases underground. Therefore, the update is also fully in the spirit of “Together we are strong”. The hashtag #LiftTogether is currently one of the most important for Warframe on social networks.
What does Fortuna have to offer?
The open world map will be huge and will come with a lot of new content, including:
- Hoverboards
- Catch and rescue animals like Pokémon
- New world bosses, the giant spider robots
- New Warframe, Garuda
- New pet, a small robot
- Huge cave systems hidden throughout the map
- New weapons to craft
Railjack will be added later
Massive space battles are coming: In the future, there will also be the possibility to launch directly into space with a self-built spaceship on Venus. The battle ships did not make it into the Fortuna update and will come during the year 2019.
Players can co-pilot huge battle ships and fight with them in space. The spaceships will be customizable, and it can already be seen in the first gameplay video: Railjack will be massive.
