The shooter Warface receives the new update “Chernobyl” today. It features an exciting PvE mission that takes you directly into the “Zone” around the destroyed Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
In 1986, a disastrous accident occurred at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant near the Ukrainian city of Pripyat : Large amounts of radiation were released, and the city had to be evacuated.
Even many years later, the region resembles a ghost town and fuels the imagination of game designers. The classic shooter “Stalker” revolves around eerie occurrences in the “Zone.” Also in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, it went to Pripyat.
Now it is the turn of the online shooter Warface, sending you into an especially detailed rendition of Chernobyl.
Chernobyl like in real life
The current update “Chernobyl” of Warface takes you on a large PvE mission to Chernobyl. The developers put in a lot of effort and even visited the area live to capture the region realistically in the game. Over 6 square kilometers of the area have been faithfully reproduced in the game. This includes abandoned schools, decaying amusement parks, and the Hotel Polissya.
Therefore, many places in the game correspond to their real-life counterparts. Except, of course, for the large tower of your enemies from the Blackwood organization. Hopefully, it is not found in real life, as it houses gruesome activities. Monstrous experiments are said to take place there to create “super soldiers.”
Your Warface characters are supposed to prevent this and fight the Blackwood villains amid the oppressive ruins of Chernobyl and Pripyat .
