On November 29 at 12:00 AM, the new expansion Dragonflight in World of Warcraft started. For Horde players, it began at the Zeppelin Tower in Orgrimmar. MeinMMO video reaction presenter Anna Alberg was also there. She captured the minutes around the release in a video.
What can you see in the video? We show you the start of Dragonflight at 12:00 AM, in case you couldn’t be there yourself. In the video, you see Anna and her guild waiting together for the quest and the arrival of the airship.
There are complications, such as trying to click on the right NPC or finding the teammate for trading. A countdown is also counted, to which the airship then arrives accordingly.
The loading screen for the new area also took a bit longer and the first quest givers were only visible with some delay.
How was the release of Dragonflight in general? Very mixed. On one hand, there were many players who could travel to the Dragon Isles relaxed, like Anna and her group. On the other hand, there were also disconnects, very long loading screens, and lags that affected the race for the World Firsts.
At least the first players have already reached the max level within a few hours:
For some Alliance players, it went even worse, as their ship didn’t even arrive. Therefore, Blizzard spontaneously opened portals to the new area. Additionally, there was a first server downtime of about an hour this morning.
