Throne and Liberty was originally planned as a completely different game, namely Lineage Eternal. It was meant to build on the great success of NCSoft’s game series. In 2017, the MMORPG was completely overhauled and was renamed Project TL. The game now offers an open world as well as an interesting and action-packed combat system with boss fights and sieges.
Throne and Liberty was originally supposed to be released in 2022, but it was postponed to the first half of 2023. The MMORPG is set to have a worldwide release, but it is still unclear who the publisher will be. According to rumors, Amazon has been considered as a potential publisher. However, nothing has been officially confirmed.
