One-Punch Man gets its own game – and one that looks pretty good. We’ll show you how Saitama and his friends will soon fight their way through the world.
There are Anime heroes who have to fight hard battles and constantly improve all their skills to barely emerge victorious from a duel. And then there is Saitama, the One-Punch Man, who defeats every enemy with exactly one punch. This very hero is now getting his own action game for PC and mobile: One-Punch Man: World.
What is One-Punch Man: World about? The story of One-Punch Man: World roughly covers the plot of the first season of the anime, even if it is expanded in some places. This means basically, you will experience the rise of the strongest hero of all time – Saitama, who became so strong through daily training in just one year that he can defeat every enemy with just one single punch.
After that, Z-City is attacked by monsters and villains, which repeatedly calls the union of heroes into action, who have to stand together against the opponents – at least until Saitama ends everything with one punch.
What kind of game is this? According to the trailer and description, it’s clearly an action game with exciting battles. You will take on the role of various heroes from Z-City and have to assert yourself against nasty attackers. In the best action-fighting manner, you unleash different abilities and try to deplete the health points of the enemies while simultaneously dodging their devastating attacks.
In the meantime, however, there also seem to be noticeably quieter moments where you can explore the city or master everyday life together with the other heroes – after all, Saitama also needs to get food on the table regularly or sometimes hang out in the arcade.
Who do you play as in One-Punch Man: World? In addition to Saitama and Genos, you also play a few characters who have a bit less screen time in the anime. Playable characters are, according to the official website:

Can you register already? Yes. Anyone who wants to experience Saitama and Z-City as early as possible can already register on the official game site. So far, pre-registration only applies to the PC version of the game.
There is currently no release date for the game, even though the title is expected to be released sometime in 2023. It is also still questionable how monetization will look – because One-Punch Man: World starts as free-to-play.
