The story takes place in post-war England in the late 1920s, a few years after the series starts. Players take on the role of the mute deserter Sammy Taylor, who seeks refuge with the Shelby family. However, before he can join the gang and enjoy their protection, he must prove himself first.
The King’s Ransom is a narrative adventure, likely suitable mainly for fans of the series. And there are many: the gangster drama about the Shelby family has a rating of 8.8, making it one of the best Netflix series of all time.

New weapons, new missions, and more Cillian Murphy
In April, publisher and developer Maze Theory released a roadmap for 2023 on YouTube. There will be new weapons, missions, and design options alongside some QoL improvements.
In the new update trailer from the VR showcase on June 14, the planned content is presented in more detail. The new options for character customization are likely to be particularly interesting, as there will be a social element where up to 6 players can hang out in the pub, interact, and play mini-games together.
As a special treat for fans, more scenes with Tommy Shelby, the head of the Peaky Blinders, are teased. He is portrayed by Cillian Murphy, just like in the original.
