Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 introduced the first multiplayer map of the shooter set to be released in October 2022. It even excites Formula 1 fans.
The release of CoD: Modern Warfare 2 is getting closer, and even the beta start date is now known. However, players have had to wait for a first look at the shooter’s multiplayer maps. Now, a trailer has been released showcasing the first multiplayer map of MW2.
What kind of map is it? The map shown in the trailer is called Marina Bay Grand Prix and appears to be inspired by the Marina Bay Street Circuit, a Formula 1 track in Singapore.
However, the city circuit does not appear in its usual form in the trailer, but shows signs of destruction, as one would expect on a CoD map.
What does the trailer show? The trailer displays various perspectives of the map. Already at minute 00:03, we get a rough overview of the Grand Prix from an elevated position.
A camera movement follows, bringing us past a racing car toward a roaring fire and tires on the track (minute 00:06). Next, we see a section of the track from the side as the race cars speed across the asphalt (minute 00:12).
Next to the pit lane (minute 00:18), where even a vehicle is present (minute 00:25), we also see a part of the map that is not outside on the track, but inside a building (minute 00:24).
“As an F1 and CoD fan, I’m totally excited!”
What do the players say? The players seem to have a positive impression of the sequences shown in the comments on YouTube. Particularly among CoD players who are also Formula 1 fans, the map received a visually positive response.

That the commentators we quoted are not alone in their opinions is also shown by the “likes” received for the statements made. Braeden Johnson garnered 627 likes (as of August 8 at 1:00 PM). Aqua Sasaki (658 likes), The Forty-Seven Times (245 likes), and SqweepsYT (596 likes) also received a lot of support.
