The new Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone brings a fresh map into the game: Fortune’s Keep. The trailer shows the four main “Points of Interest” of the map and the release date: June 22. However, few players are excited about the new map – as an important question remains unanswered.
Call of Duty: Warzone is just about to start the new Season 4. It is set to begin on June 22, and although we don’t know much yet, we already know the highlight: the new map Fortune’s Keep. Here is the overview map:
The trailer shows four of the major locations covering each cardinal direction:
- North: Keep – Large estate with elegant interior
- East: Winery – Vineyard with temperate cellars and tunnels
- West: Town – City with narrow alleys and many enterable houses
- South: Smuggler’s Cove – Vertical beach area with many boats
The trailer gives you a good idea of the atmosphere of the respective areas.
What important question remains unanswered? What will happen to Rebirth Island?
Fortune’s Keep is, according to the developers, a “Resurgence” map. It has primarily been developed for the “Revival” mode – just like the small map Rebirth Island.
Rebirth is currently the focus of many players in Warzone and is considered very popular. Whether on Twitter or YouTube – many commentators do not react to the new images of the map, but want to know: Will Rebirth Island stay in the game? Will there be a map rotation? Will there only be Fortune’s Keep?
- @J_Capz13 on Twitter: “We need to know if it replaces Rebirth Island or if it will be added?”
- @SpizeyMeatball replies on Twitter: “Rebirth is extremely popular. It would be insane to remove it at this point. Let’s hope they don’t remove it.”
- Nemsk on YouTube: “RIP Warzone if they remove Rebirth Island for this…”
- Red Hunnid on YouTube: “Include the map in a rotation with Rebirth Island, please don’t remove Rebirth completely.”
What does Call of Duty say about it? The responsible parties have remained tight-lipped on the subject, which at this point is not a good sign. At the moment, it is more likely that Rebirth Island will be replaced by Fortune’s Keep.
However, it cannot be said for sure, so there is still hope for fans of the small map. Feel free to leave a comment on what you think about the issue.
