Larian has solid evidence of where in the trailer for Divinity you have rewound the most. One of the developers acts completely innocent, fans too (even if they were caught red-handed).
What kind of evidence is that? YouTube has a built-in feature that highlights the most viewed parts of a video. You can recognize this by a graph: If it goes up, it can mean that viewers have rewound this part more often.
If you look at what the highlights in the Divinity trailer are, two scenes stand out right away. Unsurprisingly, both scenes are where it unexpectedly becomes sexy for a moment – amidst all the vomit and violence in the trailer.
For reasons of youth protection, the trailer is only available on YouTube, but there in full length. Once again, a reminder that this trailer is only suitable for an adult audience.

Larian knows what you did
The developers have noticed: They have realized which scenes their fans wanted to see more than once. Michael Douse, the Publishing Director at Larian Studios (the developers of Divinity and Baldur’s Gate 3), recently shared a screenshot on X.
This screenshot likely represents an excerpt from an internal conversation among the developers. There someone writes: “Never noticed our 2 most replayed moments were the sexy times in xcal trailer [xcal presumably stands for Excalibur, the former codename for Divinity].” Douse jokingly refers to some “very important findings”.
However, a user on X protects the caught fans. @The_Raxir writes: “To be fair, this was the best look at the Lizard race and seeing if they were in the game.” He adds:
“I’m sure all these people are just giant Larian Lizard fans like myself and there’s no ulterior motive as to why this section in particular was replayed.”
Holy_lettuce, on the other hand, says: “Probably people not being able to tell exactly what went on because it was on screen for like .2 seconds so people went back, kinda like doing a double take lol”
The trailer sparked a lot of discussions when it was first shown at the Game Awards 2025: Some found it great, others thought it was too intense. Larian, the developers of the game, do not shy away from disgusting and gruesome scenes – not to mention that it also became risqué.
