For the second time this year, Valorant player Hunter “SicK” Mims has been arrested. And it is for the same charge as the previous arrest.
Who is Hunter “SicK” Mims? The 25-year-old American is a former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player. Since April 2020, he has been working on his Valorant career and was signed by the eSports team “Sentinels”.
Why was “SicK” arrested? According to Valorant journalist George Geddes, “SicK” was arrested again for trespassing. A previous arrest occurred in March after he refused to leave a car dealership.
SicK confirms the case in a tweet and says that he was locked up for nothing
.
George Geddes reaches out to the community on Twitter and brings attention to the recent arrest of “SicK”. It occurred due to the same charge as a few months ago. He notes that the professional player is not doing well, which can also be seen in the streams. He also asks to support “SicK” when he is back (via Twitter).
Former teammates simultaneously urge to ignore “SicK”‘s behavior. “ShahZaM” explains that he has blocked “SicK” on Twitter so that he can post this tweet. His former colleague is not himself. “Please ignore his tweets and his unpredictable behavior,” he writes on the social media platform. Finally, he thanks for the understanding.
Here is the original tweet:
The community writes in the comments that they must help him. Many express concern for the Valorant player. “He needs someone. Talk to him before it’s too late.”
How does “SicK” respond? The Valorant player reacts to the block with the question of whether “ShahZaM” does not understand the situation. The next day he writes on Twitter that he was wrongfully arrested and demands “global peace for everyone”. In another tweet, he asks whether “everyone has been brainwashed?”
He allegedly struggled with mental health issues
What’s next for the pro? In the past, the player claimed to have struggled with mental health issues. In June of last year, “SicK” spoke on Twitter about his condition. He had struggled with his mental health for months and feels much better.
He also hopes to participate in competitions again soon. His last official game was in May 2022. The “Sentinels” were on the verge of a victory but ultimately lost. After that, the team replaced the player “Rawkus” for “SicK” (via dot esports).
His plans have not aged well.
The Valorant team “Sentinels” suspended him after the March arrest. And he has still not returned – on the team’s website, he is listed as a substitute player.
Because a player was too busy with a new online game, a pro team had to forfeit a whole match.
