At the launch of the PS4 and PS4 Pro, a user was first in line to get a console. Sony rewarded his persistence and gifted him a PlayStation 5.
Who is it about? The American Joey Chiu unexpectedly received mail from Sony. Inside was a PlayStation 5 along with a plaque containing some touching and appreciative words from Sony.
On Twitter, PlayStation superfan Joey Chiu shared the following picture:

Sony remembers a loyal fan and gifts him a PS5
This is how Sony reacts: Toshimasa Aoki reacted to his Twitter post. He is the Product Manager at Sony PlayStation. Aoki handed the fan the first PlayStation 4 in 2013 in New York. He posted a corresponding image on Twitter:
In the PS5 Subreddit, a user also explained: “He also mentioned that they sent him a code with all launch titles [for the PS5]. Wow.”

Joey Chiu is the first PS4 buyer in New York
This is how Chiu bought the first PS4: In a conversation with Kotaku in 2013, Chiu explained how he went about it after the sales start.
He filled a thermos and made his way to the Standard Hotel in Manhattan, where the sale began. At that time, he did not expect to be the first:
That was fine with me because at the end of the day, there would be 444 units for sale, and I wanted to take one of those home, not necessarily the first [console].
