The first weekend in September is – at least in the south of the country – rainy, damp, and gray. Therefore, it’s ideal to play some MMOs and online games! Which games sweeten your chilly, rainy days?
Brrr, summer has quickly faded away this weekend, leaving behind damp, nasty weather with rain – at least here in the south of Germany. But well, if you can’t grill or chill at the lake, you can enjoy playing online games without a guilty conscience.
Games of the Weekend – Hunting Monsters or Humans?
If you enjoy going on the hunt, you can look forward to two cool games this weekend. First, there is the monster-hunting game Dauntless available today, September 1st, in closed beta. In Dauntless, you can hunt various bizarre monsters with your team of four, such as the giant fish beaver or the fearsome owl bear.
On the other hand, if you prefer taking down human prey, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is the place for you. This battle royale shooter is currently more successful and in-demand than ever, with tens of thousands of enthusiastic players. Even the problem with AFK farmers is said to be less severe than assumed.
Games of the Weekend – Taming Dinos, Driving Tanks, or Wrecking the Demon World?
If you prefer taming large animals rather than killing them, you can let loose in the survival MMO ARK: Survival Evolved. The game was in early access for a long time but is now officially released. So if you want to fight for survival and ride dinosaurs, you should take a closer look at ARK.
Fans of big tank battles should rejoice in World of Tanks, as Wargaming’s tank spectacle has introduced “Large Battles” with a total of 60 tanks in the current patch 9.20. However, you need an endgame tank at Tier X and a lot of skill to achieve something in this game mode.
For fans of MMORPGs, there is the long-awaited update 7.3 for World of Warcraft. In it, you can finally strike back against the Burning Legion and ravage their world Argus. Good for them!
