Since Season 5 Reloaded, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and CoD Warzone have received some new content. One of them is the new LMG FiNN. MeinMMO explains how you can get the new weapon.
How do I get the FiNN? The new weapon has been available since the midseason update on August 24. Currently, there are two ways to unlock it:
- you buy the “Mainframe” bundle in the shop
- or you complete a challenge
The bundle is not yet available in the shop and will likely come with the new operator Morte. As an operator bundle, it will likely cost 2,400 CoD Points (about €20). This gives you the weapon immediately, including a blueprint that you can use for it. If you don’t want to spend money, you can simply complete the challenge.
You must complete this challenge: To unlock the FiNN for free, you need to kill an enemy in melee combat with an LMG in seven different matches. Build an LMG loadout that allows you to move quickly – we recommend the Bruen Mk9 despite the nerf.
The challenge is easiest to complete in one of the multiplayer modes of Modern Warfare. Especially in the faster rounds on Shipment or Shoot House, you can easily get kills. The round does not necessarily have to be finished afterwards.
If you play for free, it might take a while, as melee kills with an LMG in Warzone are not that easy. Also, be aware that you should not have the “Quick Melee” perk on the weapon while carrying a throwing knife. While it makes melee attacks faster, it has not counted towards the challenges in the past, as you are technically using a knife and not the weapon itself.

LMG FiNN in CoD – New potential top weapon?
This is what the new LMG can do: The FiNN is a mobile LMG that measures its speed more in line with assault rifles than with machine guns. This property already made the Bruen very powerful before it was ultimately nerfed.
The advantage of such hybrid weapons is that you can combine the strength of an LMG with the speed of an assault rifle. However, this often comes with more difficult control or longer reload times, which can be mitigated through practice and larger magazines. Possibly, the FiNN will soon rank among our best weapons for Modern Warfare.
