Twitch is still the most well-known platform for livestreaming in 2024. We from MeinMMO show you which German-speaking streamers currently have the most viewers.
Note: This article was originally published in January 2023 and was converted into a year-in-review on December 31, 2024.
How is this list created? To determine the “biggest” streamer, various criteria can be applied: Who has the most followers, who has the highest watch time?
We have decided here based on the average number of viewers in the last 365 days. This shows how many fans actively follow a streamer.
The following criteria were considered in the creation of this list:
- The channel’s language must be German, nationality does not matter
- Period of the last 365 days (as of December 31, 2024)
- Commercial and event channels are not considered
- The ranking is determined by the average number of viewers

Instead, Knossi now mainly shows talk formats and reactions. Moreover, he enthusiastically participates in all sorts of events: be it the Wok-WM on Pro7, the Joyn show of his Twitch colleague MontanaBlack, the dance show Let’ Dance, or the survival hit 7 vs. Wild, Knossi is always there.
In 2024, Knossi got engaged to his partner Lia Mitrou.

In 2021, Eliasn97 left Hertha BSC and focused on his career as a content creator. Unsurprisingly, many of his contents revolve around FIFA, but he also plays the occasional shooter or chats with his viewers.
Aside from his online appearances, Eliasn97 is also active as a businessman: he has a streetwear label and sells vitamin water, among other things. In 2024, he also launched his own perfume label. Thus, he streamed slightly less and only managed to secure 3rd place in terms of average viewers this year after being the German number 1 in 2022 and 2023.

Today, MontanaBlack apparently has his life under control: he is among the highest-earning streamers on Twitch, owns a house, and has a loving relationship with his grandparents.
For a long time, MontanaBlack was the biggest streamer on German Twitch. He streams relatively little and irregularly. Instead, he has preferred to host IRL-Streams lately, which require more planning and preparation. With his Christmas event, he set a new career record in 2024.
