At the roulette wheel on the roleplay servers of GTA Online, Twitch streamers like Summit1g can quickly win lots of money or even cars. The streamer pushed his way to the front of the line and then had double bad luck.
Who is it about? The Twitch streamer Jaryd “Summit1g” Lamar is known for his streams on the roleplay servers of GTA Online. He plays on the NoPixel server, where the biggest streamers on this topic are currently gathered.
In his attempt to grab one of the coveted prizes at the roulette wheel, he failed and was instantly served karma twice (via Dexerto).
So close to the grand prize
What’s going on in the casino? In the casino on the roleplay server, there is a lot for players to win. Cash prizes ranging from $1,000 to $50,000 as well as a car can be found on the fields of the wheel. Every second field is a dud. When Summit1g entered the casino during a stream and joined the long queue with other players, it seems he felt like it wasn’t moving quickly enough.
He cuts in front of the waiting players and constantly calls out for his buddy: “Hey Larry. Larry. Larry, can you hear me? Did you save my spot for me, Larry?” he asks while moving forward in line spot by spot. Allegedly, Larry had saved him a spot that Summit1g now wants to claim.
Just moments later, the streamer is at the front of the line, pays the fee, and gets to spin the roulette wheel. The wheel almost landed on the field for the car grand prize. But it spun just a few millimeters past it and brought the streamer nothing instead.
The pushing loser comments on it with “I’ve never seen it so close.”
That’s why it was doubly bitter: The streamer’s chat kept an eye on the situation and the other players in the casino. They noticed that a player won $10,000. And he was standing exactly in the position where Summit1g would have stood had he not pushed ahead (via twitch.tv).
In official GTA Online, $10,000 isn’t much money. But on the roleplay servers, it is considered a high prize that is appreciated. Summit1g reacted calmly to this karma and said that everything happens for a reason.
Recently, Summit1g made headlines in the scene. In a race, he was dissatisfied with the performance of his car. His chat then visited one of the developers and made Summit1g look “like an ass”. The action visibly embarrassed him.
