The well-known Twitch streamer Papaplatte was contacted by the Make-A-Wish organization and fulfills a heartfelt wish for a seriously ill fan. In one of his recent livestreams, he talks about this moving day.
Who is Papaplatte? Kevin “Papaplatte” Teller, 27 years old, is one of the most famous German streamers and content creators in the gaming sector. Through his authentic and humorous style, he has gained a loyal fanbase on platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok.
This year, he reached another milestone, breaking his own viewer records at the streamer event r/Place and recording over 100,000 simultaneous viewers.
Likewise, the Friendly Fire event is a highlight each year for many and fulfills the wishes of numerous people:
In a previous event, Papaplatte joined forces with his community on Twitch to participate in a treasure hunt organized by moderators Joko and Klaas to win 1 million euros. Live on Twitch, he puzzled together with his community, and the outcome was that one of his viewers is now in possession of a considerable fortune.
Now, Papaplatte has been contacted by the Make-A-Wish organization to fulfill a sick fan’s heartfelt wish.
“He could wish for anything, but he chose you.”
What did the viewer wish for? In the stream, he initially did not reveal why he was at Phantasialand, only saying that there was a special person who was the reason for it. When the chat jokingly speculated whether it was Merkel or Obama, he finally revealed the secret. The streamer had received an invitation from Make-A-Wish, which he spontaneously accepted.
The organization is dedicated to fulfilling the heartfelt wishes of seriously ill children and teenagers to bring them joy, hope, and strength. Papaplatte reported on the ill viewer, who is only 17 years old.
Despite the chat’s curiosity, Papaplatte initially did not want to go into detail. He emphasized that this day should be solely about the special person, as it was their wish to spend a day with him.
However, he revealed at least a few small moments from this special day. The young fan apparently knew every detail from Kevin’s streams and was overjoyed to spend time with not only his idol but also with his friends.
As Papaplatte shared these touching moments in the stream, a chat comment pointed out: “You have to imagine, he could wish for anything, but he chose you. Of course, he knows everything about you.”
When asked in the chat if he had done this for free, Kevin initially joked about a “big paycheck.” Later, however, he revealed that he did it out of conviction and without financial interests, seeing it as a “cool” gesture.
How did Kevin feel on that day? In the next segment, Papaplatte reported that he was not feeling well that day. Despite having only five hours of sleep, he took advantage of the Phantasialand tickets that allowed him to visit certain attractions without waiting times. However, he felt continuously unwell afterwards.
Nonetheless, his discomfort provided the opportunity to sit down quietly with the ill viewer and talk. Details about the fan’s illness were not elaborated upon.
