During a livestream, the famous German Twitch streamer Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris spoke about his past. He has experienced a lot and moves himself to tears during his narration.
The last few months have been turbulent for MontanaBlack:
- He promoted NFTs with an ape wearing a swastika bandage and received plenty of hate and criticism for it. Although the streamer apologized for the incident, his NFT tweets continued to be scrutinized.
- Then an NFT turned out to be a scam, which MontanaBlack had previously promoted on his Twitter profile. Afterward, he realized that he should stay away from public advertising for NFTs for a while.
- There was also drama with Twitch colleagues: MontanaBlack and Tanzverbot clashed several times. Among other things, due to gambling and a discussion that escalated into a quarrel. However, the two managed to make peace again during a clarifying conversation.
- Most recently, the streamer found himself at the lowest point of his life and took a short Twitch break. Mentally and physically, he was not doing well. The physical issues were due to dental surgeries he had and having to undergo general anesthesia twice—something he was very afraid of.
- MontanaBlack is now back, sharing his feelings in a stream and talked about his dark past.
“My grandfather would have cursed me, my uncle would have cursed me…”
What did the streamer share in his livestream? While the chat was spamming hearts and MontanaBlack assured that he could let it all out, the streamer tearfully expressed how grateful he is to his grandma:
There is one thing, dear livestream chat, for which I will always thank my grandma from the bottom of my heart. And that is that she did not give up on me after I stole from her. My grandfather would have cursed me, my uncle would have cursed me, but my grandma still said: “Go get therapy and come back, I will take you in.”

In the past, he had stolen around 4,000 euros from his grandparents to buy drugs. The streamer was addicted to cocaine and would have done anything to get his drugs.

Why he is feeling so mentally unwell has been speculated by fans for a while. After he assured that his dog and family are doing well, the community sees only the possibility that his girlfriend may have broken up with him. However, he has never publicly commented on this, and MontanaBlack is still unsure whether he will do so in the future.
He greatly appreciates the bond with his grandparents: They took him back after a therapy session and gave him a second chance, even though he had several relapses with alcohol and other drugs afterward.

What does the streamer say next? He touches on how lucky his grandparents are to witness many things. To see their grandchildren and other relatives grow up, to see the streamer succeed and to have hardly any health complaints.
Moreover, he himself was just at the right time in the right place when it came to Twitch and YouTube and that he earns more money than he could have wished for. However, MontanaBlack says that the greatest blessing is not the money, but something entirely different:
The greatest blessing I have from this: Not this fucking gaming room that cost 200,000 euros—I don’t give a shit, dude. I could also stream from a dump, I don’t care. That’s just materialism, dude, that’s something I can do without when it comes down to it. But the greatest value I take from it is when my grandma tells me: “Oh, that I can still witness all this, that you are happy and so successful…”

Furthermore, he stated that he does not care if a car costs 1,000 euros or more per month, as long as he can put it in front of his grandparents’ house and make them happy.
Afterward, MontanaBlack cried: The thought that he might not be able to make his grandparents happy and see them soon breaks the dam for the streamer. He fears the day when that will no longer be the case.
