Keth “justketh” is active on Twitch as an IRL streamer and shares her life with her viewers. During a vacation stream at the pool, an incident occurred with another hotel guest, and the streamer went to the police.

What are IRL streams? This type of stream takes place “in real life”. While streamers like MontanaBlack often stream from their dark gaming caves, IRL streamers are out and about, showing themselves in everyday situations.
This may sound harmless, but it is quite dangerous: so-called stream snipers often try to locate a streamer and disrupt the stream. There can also be confrontations with complete strangers.
Pool stream leads to a confrontation
What kind of stream was it? In a stream from January 2, justketh was at the pool of her hotel. An incident occurred with another hotel guest.
This guest invited the streamer to sit with him by the pool. He allegedly made a sexually suggestive gesture that upset justketh. She tried to continue her stream but was disturbed again.
The man approached the streamer and demanded that she “shut up”; he was trying to relax and felt disturbed. justketh moved away from the annoyed guest, stating she had things to do.
As she was leaving, she shouted back at him that he was a damn idiot; the man then turned around and followed the streamer. When she explained the situation to the hotel staff, the guest reappeared in the background, apparently throwing her equipment left by the pool on the ground.

Confrontation ends in jail
What happened after the incident? At the suggestion of her viewers, justketh went to the police and reported the man. He was subsequently arrested. Another clip shows the streamer on her way to the station to give her statement; the hotel guest can be seen in the background wearing handcuffs.
As justketh informs her viewers, the troublemaker was supposed to pay a fine, which he could not pay due to bank problems. Consequently, he had to spend the night in jail.
Who misbehaved?
What perspectives are there? An online discussion quickly arose in reaction to the recordings. There are very different viewpoints. justketh portrays the situation as follows: The man became angry after she rejected his advances.
But some viewers see the situation differently: The hotel guest felt disturbed because he was filmed against his will. On reddit, where the clip is discussed in the LivestreamFail subreddit, it is said, for example, that the situation was “weird all around”.
Although the man’s behavior was inappropriate, it was also inappropriate to stream at a hotel pool. Many people would likely have a problem being filmed in such a situation (via reddit).
In a series of posts on Twitter, justketh spoke about the incident. She said she did not intentionally film the man but merely positioned her camera to show her jump into the pool. He had no problem with it and even smiled at her.
It was only when she rejected him that he became aggressive.
justketh was not deterred from her IRL streams by the incident and continues to share the rest of her vacation in the Thai city of Pattaya with her viewers.
Since IRL streams were introduced as a category on Twitch in 2016, they have repeatedly led to problems in public. The probably most controversial IRL streamer Ice Poseidon was permanently banned from Twitch in 2017 after one of his streams resulted in a bomb threat.
