Elden Ring is considered, like any other game from developer FromSoftware, to be particularly challenging, and many players have already struggled with it. A Twitch streamer has now shown that you can complete the game in half an hour.
What is Elden Ring? Elden Ring is an action RPG in the style of Demon‘s Souls and Dark Souls. So you get a brutally difficult RPG with a lot of depth and a dark story. The game is played from a third-person perspective. You choose a class and your appearance and then explore a large game world.
While many users are still debating whether Elden Ring needs an “Easy Mode”, a Twitch streamer has now completed the game in just 37 minutes. How he did that can be read in our article.
How fast is that? He explains that his speedrun is currently the fastest run in Elden Ring. However, the leaderboards from speedrun.com, one of the largest speedrunning communities in the world, are still missing. The leaderboards will be released on March 18, 2022 (via speedrun.com).

What did he do? The streamer Distortion2 initially chose the Samurai class. This way, you get one of the best 3 weapons right at the beginning and it makes it significantly easier. The starting katana inflicts high bleed damage, making the fights easier and shorter.
This is how the Twitch streamer proceeded:
Right at the start, he jumps over a cliff and cleverly avoids the first boss, which you usually have to defeat as a tutorial. He dies in the jump but is revived elsewhere, thus saving himself the boss.
Then he runs through the Limgrave area and gets his mount from Melina. This way, he is significantly faster and can save a lot of time.
He reaches the Vulcan region after 18 minutes and the decayed Farum Azula after 24 minutes. In the 32nd minute, he arrives in the city of Leyndell. In the last minute, he defeats the final boss.
For his speedrun, he uses some tricks. He climbs over plant vines and rock formations that “normal” players probably wouldn’t use.
You can watch the entire speedrun video directly on YouTube. However, be aware that the video is full of spoilers. Those who want to explore Elden Ring on their own should not watch the video:
What is his next goal? Next, the streamer Distortion2 wants to achieve a speedrun of Elden Ring under 30 minutes. Currently, he can be seen daily on Twitch trying to beat his own record (via Twitch.com).
As of now (March 13, 2022), he has managed to improve his speedrun to 36 minutes and 20 seconds (via youtube.com).
Other speedrunners are also trying Elden Ring
Some professionals are trying to complete Elden Ring particularly quickly. For example, the player “niko bellic” completed Elden Ring in about 2.5 hours.
Subsequently, the speedrunner “LilAggy” was able to beat this record. This runner completed the game in 59 minutes and 38 seconds. How “LilAggy” did this and how to complete Elden Ring in 1 hour can be read here on MeinMMO:
