Player Daniel “Jokerd” Gobey became a star on Twitch in WoW Classic. He was the first player to reach level 60. He then joined the top guild “Method”, but was kicked out within 2 weeks. He stole an item from his raid in Molten Core. The community could not forgive him for that.
Who is JokerD? Before WoW Classic, hardly anyone knew Jokerd. He had played on private servers of WoW and often reached level 60 first, but without a large audience.
His popularity rose with the launch of the official “WoW Classic” on August 27. It became clear: This guy leveled faster than anyone else.
Here the streamer played with a gnome mage as the first to reach level 60 and was far ahead of professional guilds at max level. After just 4 days, on August 30, he was there.
As the “first player to level 60”, Jokerd became famous overnight and his Twitch channel grew rapidly: He now has 150,000 followers.
The Twitch streamer showed how he works. Jokerd streams from a bunker-like cellar in Malta, while many other top streamers have set up luxurious gaming rooms.

There he joined the “Stream Team”.
Ninja Loot in Molten Core
Why is he getting kicked now? The streamer was in a “Molten Core” raid and had the opportunity to ninja loot the item “Staff of Dominance”. This means when a player grabs an item without prior agreement and just runs away with it.
The “Staff of Dominance” drops in Molten Core from Golemagg and is a strong item for mana classes.
While Jokerd was considering whether to steal the item, others in the voice chat said, “No way he would do that. It would ruin his reputation completely.”
But Jokerd mumbled, “Do you think I care about my reputation on a fucking US server?” Then he left the raid, grabbed the item, and disappeared. A typical ninja loot.
In the stream, he still believed he was doing the right thing because the guild would benefit from him becoming stronger, instead of some “random” getting such an item. He even said he would get promoted for it.
Method Kicks Him from Stream Team
This is how Method reacts: They have kicked him out of the Twitch Team and distanced themselves from him. They are now looking to see what will happen with the contract. For now, Jokerd’s membership with Method is suspended.
Method apologizes to the fans, sponsors, and the community. They felt just as disappointed by this behavior as everyone else.
